Authorities found Carrera's body in the bathtub of her Burbank apartment, still clothed in the dress she wore to celebrate her wedding. Jimenez called his sister that same day and tearfully said he had left his bride bleeding after a "bad fight," reported The Associated Press. He then hung up and wouldn't pick up when she called him back. Most of Carrera's family allegedly disapproved of her relationship with Jimenez, even though he was the father of her 2-year-old son.

Police told the AP that the family reported incidents of violence while the couple was dating. Jazmin Carrera, Estrella's older sister, told the AP that Jiminez had hit and bruised her sister in the past. The affidavit said Jimenez was born in Texas and owned property in Pharr, Texas. Jimenez faces first-degree murder charges in Cook County and federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Jimenez is the nd fugitive named to the FBI list since its inception in Skip to content. He was last seen driving a black Maserati. This vehicle was later found by federal investigators in his brothers garage.

Investigators found blood and other physical evidence in the vehicle. His brother was arrested. Additional evidence showed he traveled with the suspect to a Texas town hear the Mexican border on May 13, the day Estrella was found dead. It is believed Jimenez killed her in the vehicle then moved her in to the bathtub.

The phone was last used May 13, , in Hidalgo, Texas, near the Mexican border. The affidavit said Jimenez was born in Texas and owned property in Pharr, Texas. He may be in Durango, Mexico. While he has family there, he also owns property in Texas. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
